3v3 Basketball Tournament Format

Prelim: Each team plays 3 games to establish their ranking for the single elimination tournament.

Clock/Scoring: Prelim games go to 15 1s and 2s and are 10 minutes long. Whichever comes first.

* Seeding: Rankings for tournaments are established by record, total points scored between all 3 preliminary games, and game duration. Every win and point scored matters.
* Playoff: Once each team has played 3 preliminary games, the rankings are set and each team has a chance at winning the tournament despite their record.
SINGLE ELIMINATION TOURNAMENT, LOSE AND YOU'RE OUT!
* Tournament games have no clock, first to 15 1s and 2.
Championship games goes to 21 1s and 2s, no clock. winning team takes the cash!

Officiating: Referee at each court will ensure accurate time keeping and score.
How games start: For prelim games, one person will shoot for ball, if they make it their team will start with the ball. If they miss the opposing team starts with the ball.
*For single elimination tournament, highest seed starts with ball.
Scoring: 1 point inside arc, 2 points behind arc.
Check Ball: Check up at the top of the key after every made basket and foul. Must pass it i before shooting.
Misses: Take back everything. This includes airballs, hitting rim/backboard, and blocks
Possession: Make it take it.
Fouls/violations called: Reach-in, over the back, carry, travel, blocking, charge, out of bounds, shooting foul, holding, tripping.
*Intentional fouls: When games get close to the winning score, 15 or 21. Intentional fouls will be called if the foul is blatant. First intentional foul is a warning the next intentional foul is a free throw for the player that is fouled. This prevents the game being delayed due to too many fouls being called, especially during the playoffs.
*Free throws are only rewarded for intentional fouls. Shooting fouls and And 1s do not receive free throws, check up at top and continue game.
